‘At the edge of the parks area, a new flat block rises just above the treetops. In designing the penthouse, our challenge was to have contact with the view over the trees from every line of sight. By rearranging the shell, we were able to create an axis of vision through the space. This axis became a long closet wall, incorporating the entrance, wardrobe but also the kitchen island. We gave the design character by combining oak with walnut. The design, together with the materials, creates a warm base.’ Says Océan, studio for interior architecture.
Vonder made the woodwork in this axis. Including the beautifully designed kitchen in oak, with subtle details. The wine rack in walnut forms a playful room-devider. The sturdy and refined dining table is sucupira with high-gloss lacquered legs. Slender pivot doors are in oak, with bronze handles. This refinement can also be seen in the bathroom and bedroom furniture.
